e-ROC auction results - 24th April 2013
ROC prices almost hit £44.00
• The scheduled e-ROC monthly auction took place on Wednesday, 24th April 2013 and 103,438 ROCs were sold.
•Despite a higher than forecasted Ofgem ROC issue in April relating to January generation, the auction average price continued to increase. An average price of £43.99 per ROC was reached, an increase of 23p on that achieved in the March auction.
•The date of the next e-ROC monthly auction is Friday, 31st May 2013.
Dates for future monthly auctions are:
• Friday 28th June 2013
• Tuesday 30th July 2013

•The next e-ROC monthly auction is on Friday 31st May. Following this there are two more auctions on 28th June and 30th July to sell your CP11 ROCs to suppliers for them to meet their CP11 obligation.
•Although the market has been difficult to predict this year traditionally these auctions at the end of the compliance period have seen the best prices.
•In order to minimise your risk it may be worth selling your CP11 ROCs across the three auctions in May, June and July rather than leave it to the last possible auction in July.
•Please let us know if you would like to discuss a selling strategy for these three auctions.
•You can sell your CP11 ROCs after July but suppliers will then only be able to use them to meet their CP12 obligation and are only allowed to use 25% of CP11 ROCs towards their CP12 submission which generally results in these ROCs selling at a discount.
